About Alver Valley Country Park

Alver Valley Country Park is a fantastic place to feel the rural within the urban. Whether you want to chill in the open spaces, search for signs of nature along the river, or check out the lake and woods, there is so much to explore. This a great place for a bike ride too, and you are able to explore the whole park on bike as well as foot. The park contains two play parks- one near the BMX track and Recycling Centre (east), and one at the Lee on the Solent end (west) where there are toilets and a cafe/kiosk. Car parking is chargeable. Work is currently taking place to create a garden centre near Grange Farm, where you can also get a permit to enter the Wildgrounds, and is home to the 17th Century village. Alver Valley Country Park offers a great mix of play, nature and relaxation. You could bring a picnic and spend the day here.
